    Our HOA board reached out to A and Y Expert Tree Services and they came out same day within an hour after the phone call for the initial consultation. We had trees that were overgrown that damaged the concrete walkway and the drain in the residential courtyard. They went through and explained what would be done to remove the trees and the equipment they would be using, how many crew members will be working on the project. They gave us an extremely reasonable price for three Tree removals, stump grounding, and redwood Tree trimming. They are thorough, honest and patient answering all of our questions.     we had an emergency the Sunday before thanksgiving 2023. we needed an emergency tree removal when our 40 ft oak tree decided to fall, trapping the power wires from the pole of PGE. we called A&Y (we had their old business card when they used to be called Mia Bella). We called A&Y and within an hour, they came from San Jose to Santa Cruz mountains where we live. they came ready with about 10 people and within a few hrs, the fallen tree was gone. Joanna was our go-to as she arranges schedules and does translation is needed. their arborist Pedro is polite and knowledgeable and tells you what your needs are. Joanna and her husband, Catalino are great people, they were even willing to work on payment schedule in cases of emergency like ours when there are no banks or businesses open. they will give you options, one you like and they would offer you a cheaper option (like hauling away vs chipping and used as mulch). it is the winter/storm season and they wanted our house to be safe for winter so Pedro trimmed some more trees' canopy as they were top-heavy for free! they're a comprehensive company, they have 8 people with chainsaws, a wood chipper and stump grinder. when they left, we felt very ready for winter storm. I would highly recommend them and even better, they can be called 24 hrs a day. Joanna is best with communication and she calls prompt and returns your call fast. thank you, A&Y team. we're so extremely grateful for your service especially during an emergency.

Their knowledge of tree trimming was amazing. The team that assembled and worked together was not only extremely fun to watch but did a phenomenally clean job. They explained everything to me before they started the job and did exactly what they said they would do. The job we had them do was extremely demanding, dangerous and challenging. They topped and shaped three big redwoods, two extremely tall queen palms, a very large ginkgo tree and a 12 foot Japanese maple tree. We could not be happier with their work and will definitely use them again in the future!

    This an excellent company. Very responsive; able to quote job within a couple hours of my call due to working in my area (Santa Cruz mountains). Had a cancelation and was able to do job the next day. Several large trees removed, cut wood for us to burn and chipped the rest. Also, cleaned up all debris around house and what fell on the roof. Very reasonably priced as well. We will be calling them again for future maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

    A&Y Tree Service did a great job trimming 4 of our trees. They provided a reasonable estimate on the spot. I requested references which I received 3 people to call. The references I spoke with were positive and said they were happy with the work.

    The owner was very eager to do my project and followed up with me to get the contract.

    Once I decided to go with A&Y Tree Service, they scheduled the work for the next day. They were over an hour late to start since the crew was completing another job. The owner, Pedro, and Juan, who speaks English, came by to let me know they would start soon and be done the same day even though they were starting late. Once the crew arrived, they got to work immediately. The crew was professional and worked well together. They were efficient, took care to make sure the large limbs were gently placed on the ground, cleared the power lines without any issues, hauled away and cleaned up everything.
